Platform

HEMPZYME Modular Treatment Platform

A benchtop or floor-standing laboratory unit with interchangeable treatment cartridges. Stainless-steel frame, transparent reactor chambers, removable cartridges, tubing, flow sensors, sampling ports and a touchscreen interface — designed for controlled waste-treatment workflows.

Configuration

One frame, six interchangeable modules

Each treatment stage is a cartridge. The configuration follows the chemistry of your characterized stream, not a fixed product line.

Modules

Cartridge specifications

HZ-Carbon

Hemp-derived biochar adsorption cartridge

Porous hemp hurd carbon captures hydrophobic contaminants and buffers concentration peaks entering the biological stages.

Under validation

HZ-Enzyme

Immobilized enzyme reactor

Selected enzymes immobilized on hemp cellulose or porous media for continuous-flow, targeted bond transformation.

Under validation

HZ-Bio

Contained microbial bioreactor

Microbial consortia metabolize biodegradable intermediates inside a closed, monitored reactor volume.

Under validation

HZ-Metal

Functionalized metal-capture cartridge

Biosorption media concentrate dissolved metals for recovery or controlled disposal. Metals are not biodegraded.

Under validation

HZ-Polish

Final polishing stage

Sorbent or membrane polishing captures residual contaminants before waste handling.

Under validation

HZ-Sense

Sampling and analytical monitoring interface

Inline sensors and sampling ports support the analytical verification that every treatment claim depends on.

Under validation

Cartridge performance figures are not published. Specifications shown describe intended function at research stage; pilot data coming soon.

Circular hemp system

From crop to treatment media

Hemp feedstock becomes fibre, cellulose and biochar, which become treatment cartridges — and, at end of life, a controlled waste-handling decision rather than an agricultural input.

CIRCULARMATERIAL SYSTEM123456
  1. Stage 01

    Industrial hemp

    Renewable stalk feedstock

  2. Stage 02

    Stalk / hurd processing

    Fibre and hurd separation

  3. Stage 03

    Fibre + cellulose + biochar

    Treatment media production

  4. Stage 04

    Treatment cartridges

    Assembled modules

  5. Stage 05

    Capture / biocatalysis

    Targeted contaminant treatment

  6. Stage 06

    Regeneration / recovery / disposal

    Controlled end-of-life

Contaminated media does not automatically return to agriculture. Any biomass or sorbent containing accumulated hazardous contaminants must be handled according to the relevant waste regulations.

Pilot program

Start with one waste stream.

HEMPZYME pilots begin by identifying a repeatable, chemically characterized laboratory waste stream and validating whether biological treatment is technically and economically suitable.
